After careful consideration and a strategic review of Resource Park operations, the Sustainability Committee and Board of Directors decided to dissemble the Resource Park and cease composting operations. From September 2012 to October 2015, the Resource Park was a hub for local waste diversion for SBIA members and the local community. The Resource Park was home to Metro Vancouver’s first micro industrial composting facility, the Resource Exchange, recycling collections, and 27 community garden beds. The site was also home to ten trees, two living walls, and two types of beekeeping operations. The Resource Park officially closed on November 2nd.
